Terms & Conditions
In short
- You can browse services, prices and open times without an account. To request a booking you need an account with a verified email.
- A booking is only a request until the clinic approves it. You'll see "Pending approval" until then.
- Prices shown are estimates. You pay at the clinic, where the final price is confirmed.
- OptiLink helps you book and keep your records. It does not replace an eye examination or medical advice.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply when you use the OptiLink website (the "Service"). OptiLink is an online booking and records service used by these partner optical clinics in Batangas City (each a "Clinic"):
- R. A. Clarin Vision and Hearing Aid Centre
- Lauren Optical Clinic
- Pamarang Optical Clinic
"We" and "us" means OptiLink together with the Clinic you book with. Each Clinic is responsible for the eye-care services it provides. By creating an account or requesting a booking, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Your account
- You may browse services, prices, stock and available times without an account.
- To request a booking, see your appointments or keep records, you need an account. You must give your real full name, a working email address and a valid Philippine mobile number, and you must verify your email before your first booking.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
- One account per person. If you book for a family member, their details must be accurate, and you should have their permission.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on your behalf.
- We may suspend an account that gives false information or misuses the Service.
3. Booking appointments
- Choosing a service, date and time sends a booking request. It is not confirmed until the clinic approves it. While waiting, the booking shows "Pending approval", and the time is held for you so no one else can take it.
- The clinic reviews requests in the order they were received. It may approve or decline a request, for example if a time is no longer available, the clinic is closed, or your details are incomplete. If a request is declined, you'll see the reason and can book another time.
- You'll receive an email when your booking is approved, declined or cancelled by the clinic, and a reminder the day before a confirmed visit (you can turn reminders off in Settings).
- Please arrive about 10 minutes early, and bring any old glasses or prescriptions.
- Each Clinic sets its own opening hours and closed dates. You can only book inside those hours.
4. Cancelling and rescheduling
- A pending booking can be cancelled or moved online at any time before it starts.
- A confirmed booking can be cancelled or moved online up to 24 hours before the appointment. After that, please call the Clinic.
- Moving a confirmed booking sends it back to the clinic for approval of the new time.
- The clinic may need to cancel a confirmed appointment (for example if the optometrist is unavailable). If this happens, you'll be told why by email and in the app, and you can book a new time.
- If you miss an appointment without cancelling, the clinic may mark it as a missed visit.
5. Prices, products and payment
- Prices are shown in Philippine pesos (₱). They are estimates, and a Clinic may charge a different final amount. The final price is confirmed at the clinic, for example after your eye examination shows which lenses you need.
- The estimated total on your booking record is the price at the time you booked. If a price changes later, the clinic will tell you before you pay.
- No payment is taken online. You pay at the clinic.
- Stock levels are updated by each Clinic and may change at any time. An item shown "in stock" is not reserved for you until the clinic confirms it.
- Product photos are for illustration. The actual item may differ slightly in colour or finish.
6. Your records and uploads
- Your Records page shows documents and prescriptions filed by the clinic, and documents you upload yourself.
- Prescription values may be read from scanned documents with automatic text reading. Clinic staff check them before saving, but if you notice a mistake, please tell the Clinic so it can be corrected.
- Only upload documents that belong to you (or someone you are allowed to act for), and nothing unlawful, harmful or unrelated to your eye care.
- How we handle your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Not medical advice
The Service helps you book appointments and view your records. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Descriptions of products, the prescription history and the "time for an eye check" reminder are general information only. Always follow the advice of your optometrist or doctor.
If you have a sudden loss of vision, eye pain, an eye injury, flashes of light or a curtain over your vision, do not wait for an appointment. Go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.
8. Virtual Try-On
Virtual Try-On shows how frames might look on your face using your device's camera. It is for fun and illustration only. The fit, size and look of real frames may differ. The camera image is processed on your device and is not uploaded or stored by OptiLink. The face shape guide is an estimate, not a medical or professional assessment. Try-on photos you save or share are your own responsibility.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- make bookings you don't intend to keep, or hold times with false details;
- use someone else's account or details without permission;
- try to access information that isn't yours, or get around the Service's security;
- upload viruses or harmful files, or overload the Service with automated requests;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
10. Availability of the Service
We work to keep the Service running, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with our service providers or your internet connection. If you can't book online, you can visit or call the Clinic directly.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by Philippine law, OptiLink is not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, by information you provide incorrectly, or by you not following these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer or patient under Philippine law, including the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms, for example when we add features. The effective date at the top will change, and for important changes we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes will be handled by the proper courts of Batangas City, without affecting any right you may have to bring a complaint to a government agency.
